Four kids went on a bear hunt with a man. They said they're not scared. We think it is funny because they go through all sorts of things. They fall in all kinds of things like a river and a mud puddle and a forest and other things. Every time the four kids reach a new thing, they say, "We can't go over it. We can't go under it. Oh, no! We've got to go through it!"
There's a pattern. The illustrator starts with a black and white page and then a color page and then a black and white page and then a color page.
Then they came to a cave and they were scared. What do you think they saw? After they explored the cave, they went on the bear hunt backwards! They ended up back at their house. At the end they had a little twist. Read this book to find out about the twist.
We will recommend this book to kids that are 3 years old up to 10 years olds. Adults might like going on a bear hunt too. If you like camping then you might like this book. If you don't like camping, we still think you'll like it. It's funny and fun and a little bit scary. We like it because when the people go on the bear hunt, we feel like we're in the book. That's a great feeling.
