The Legend of the Blue Bonnet

This book is about a tribe who needs water because they are dying from a drought. They want the Great Spirits to bring them water. Then a Shaman came and told the tribe that the Great Spirits want a sacrifice. Then She-Who-Is-Alone sacrificed her doll with bird feathers from a bird that cries, "Jay-jay-jay!" Will the drought be over? I won't tell you. You have to check it out for yourself.

I like this book because it has good pictures. I also like how the author wrote the words because they are good, descriptive words. This story reminded me of when I gave other people toys.

I recommend this book because it tells about a cool Indian legend. You should read this book if you like Indians. People who like Indians should read this story because it has colorful pictures of tee-pees and great spirits.
