The Magic Tree House: Tigers at Twilight

This book is #19 in a series of Magic Tree House Books. Jack and his sister Annie have to try to get the third special gift from a forest far away. They need to get this gift to free their dog, Teddy, from a bad spell. Jack and Annie have already found the first two gifts - now they need to get this one! The Magic Tree House takes them to India (which is a forest far away).

I learned lots of cool stuff about tigers and pythons. I learned that tigers sharpen their claws on tree trunks. I knew that pythons squeeze their prey, but I didn't know that they can swallow a full size deer - WHOLE. Wow! I think that's amazing!

I'd rather play outside with my friends than read, but when I do read, I like to read Magic Tree House Books. They remind me of the time that I went on a scavenger hunt. I collected clues along the way and then at the end I found the treasure. These books are kind of like that too. It's not until the end that you find out the answer to the problem.

I also like this book because it's fun to pretend to go places around the world and explore. I get to travel when I read these books. This book took me to India. I like that a lot!

I think that boys and girls about my age would like this book. At first I thought that mostly boys would like to read Magic Tree House Books, but my sister says she likes to read them too.
