What is your favorite season? Our?s is fall. The author, Cynthia Rylant, describes November with lots of beautiful language. She describes what is happening to the Earth by saying, " In November, the Earth is growing quiet. It is making a bed, a winter bed, for flowers and small creatures." The illustrator, Jill Kastner, matches Cynthia Rylant?s description with brilliant, outstanding paintings.
I (Dylan) admired the paintings because you can see the brushstrokes and she enthusiastically used the fall colors. I (David) feel the paintings are fantastic because they looked real. I especially liked the trees because they did look like sticks and bones as Cynthia Rylant wrote.
We recommend this book to people who enjoy fall, art, and splendid vacabulary that creates beautiful language.
