This is a book about a boy named Donald Zinkoff. He is a little strange to his classmates who think he is a loser. He has a loving family. This book tells the interesting life of this kid from kindergarten to middle school. There are many surprises and there is a good lesson to be learned in the story.
This book is a good book because it has a lot of interesting anecdotes, such as days in the life of Donald. For example, on the first day of kindergarten, he goes in with a three foot tall giraffe hat and you should see what some people think of it! It is also a little different, but not in a bad way, because it talks about bullying. It is a little sad when there is a mix up with his hat, and the kids just stomp on it and throw it around like it is a piece of garbage. My favorite part is the surprise ending because it turns out that the book has a real twist. At the end, two characters change; Donald and another kid in order to fit in with their group. This book is also fast moving, so if you miss a chapter you will be lost, and have to go back and reread it.
I am recommending this book because it's an interesting book with good description and with a lot of surprises in it. I think this book is for 5th and 6th graders. I think that you will really like the ending because you will be surprised. I didn't see the ending coming, and the ending of the book made me feel good.
