Christmas in Camelot by Mary Pope Osborn is a fantastic book. Jack and Annie read a letter about going to Camelot. They found out that all of the happiness, joy, and music of Christmas are gone. Soon after they found out, they set off on a quest to get it back. Jack and Annie discover that their cloak makes them invisible. Then they find three knights that help then during their quest. The knights give them a key to a secret door. Beyond the door, they find dragons. The dragons were very mean, so they fought the dragons. When they won they put fire on the doorways to keep the dragons in. Will Jack and Annie find the happiness, joy, and music of Christmas?
I really enjoyed reading this book. The illustrations were realistic, glossy, and they looked real. This book was also surprising. One reason why it is surprising is because it made me thing that they won't find the cup, but they did. Another reason was because Jack and Annie beat the dragons, and the dragons are afraid of fire. My favorite part was when they go to the Otherworld. One reason why is because the dragons didn't want them to find the happiness, joy, and music of Christmas. Another reason is because the dragons wanted to kill Jack and Annie. The last reason is because they killed the dragons. Christmas in Camelot was an exciting because the illustrations were funny, it had surprising parts, and I had favorite parts in it.
I recommend this book to people who like magical books. One magical part is when Jack spills the cup of magic. Another part is when the Christmas knight gave three magical rhymes to solve. The last magical part is when they used a magic reindeer that can fly fast and go far. People that like magical books will really enjoy reading this book!
