The Three Investigators: The Whispering Mummy

This book is about three investigators, Bob Jupiter, and Pete, who are asked to figure out if a mummy really whispers. A professor thinks he has heard strange voices coming out of a mummy's mouth. Are the voices real or is it a trick? The three investigators are also asked to figure out if the mummy has a curse that is about to be fulfilled. In one part of the story the boys get trapped. There's a whole lot of creepy stuff and some adventure in this book.

"Scary" - that's the way I would describe this book. It's scary because of the mummy and the way the characters act. I liked the book because it was so scary. I also liked it because Jupiter tried to read somebody's mind. It reminded me of my brother. My brother tries to read my mind. Another thing I liked about the mind-reading part was that this was something new for Jupiter, and I like to try new things.

I think that third graders would like this book because it has a whole lot of creepy stuff, and most third graders like creepy stories. Third graders would like this book because it gives lots of clues to help you solve the mystery yourself. For example, in the story someone passes a note about meeting someone after school. This was a good clue because you have to figure out who wrote the note. That could help someone solve the mystery.
