"Look! There's a little book in the big school! Let's check it out."
Little House in the Big Woods portrays a family that lives in a small log house in the big woods in Wisconsin. There are five family members. Laura is the main character. If you notice, the author, Laura, is the little girl in the story. The reader will find out about the author's childhood.
I think the book is great! It takes the reader on adventures of long ago. My favorite part was when Pa started whacking a tree because he thought it was a bear. It was very funny. Laura reminds me of myself in the way she reacts to her family. Sometimes she is stingy and has a hard time with her siblings. Other times she is thoughtful and helpful to others. The book is part of a series. Once you read one of these books, you'll want to read them all!
I recommend this book for everyone because there are life lessons in it that would be very useful even for people today. Laura Ingall Wilder will teach the reader many important things about life.
