Number the Stars

Ten year old Annemarie Johnson and her best friend Ellen always wonder how life would be without the war. Ellen is a Jew. Now the Army is relocating all Jewish people. Annemarie and her family are trying to help. Find out what happens to them when you read this book.

I loved this book more than any other book I have read. I would read this book again and again. This reminds me of the war we are about to go in. This book is unique to me because of the details and the wonderful (dollar) words. If I could choose author of the year, it would be Lois Lowry. Her writing is really cool. It flows nicely. It is easy to read.

I would recommend this book to anyone who likes Nazis (soldiers) in books, wars, and people who stand up for what they believe in. My teacher Mrs. V. would love this book because of the author. This is my teacher's kind of book.
