The book starts when a girl's parents die in a car wreck on their way to Norway. The girl didn't die in the wreck. So the girl still went on to Norway where the girl's grandma lives. The girl's grandma lets the girl stay with her. Then the girl's grandma moved back to England where the girl used to live. The girl still continued the rest of her school year. Then when summer came the girl and the grandma went away to a hotel. If you want to find out more about this book go to your school or public library.
My favorite part in this book is when the girl gets turned into a mouse. Because it was funny and cool. The girl reminded me of my friend who also likes mice. This book is like other books by this author because it is unpredictable what is going to happen next.
I recommend this book because it is fun to read a great illustrator and author. A boy or girl who likes unpredictable, funny, fun to read books will like this book. One thing that might interest you is the girl turns the witches into mice.
