Frindle is a book about a boy who makes up a new word, "frindle". Now, no one will use the word pen anymore so the English teacher talks to Nick and he says he cannot stop the word. His teacher says may the best word win. But soon the school finds out about the new word. Then, well you are going to have read the book.
My favorite part in the book is when he thinks of the new word. There are a lot of funny parts in this book. Like when the parents get mad at the school's headmaster. Nick reminds me of myself because I think of a lot of stuff.
I recommend this book to fourth graders. There is a lot fourth graders do in an everyday life that is shown in this book. People who like just plain out fu books will like this book too.
