Young Cam Jansen and the Ice Skate Mystery

Young Cam Jansen went ice skating with her friend, Eric, and his dad. Dad gave Eric the key. “Let’s go!” said Eric. They went into the rink. They held hands. Eric went too fast. “Oh no!” Eric said. Eric fell. “Are you okay?” asked Cam. “Yes.” said Eric. “Let’s go!” said Eric. There was an announcement. “Let’s go.” said Eric. They got out of the rink. “Can I have the keys?” asked Dad. You have to find out the rest. Read the book to find out...

I liked the illustrations because they’re detailed. The detailed part is that the illustrator didn’t use just one color for the background. She used many colors for the background, which made it detailed. That’s what I like. It makes the pictures more detailed and when she drew the illustrations, she made it juicy, so that’s good. The background had people in it. My favorite part was when Eric lost the keys because it really made me want to know what happened to the keys. I also liked when they got to the locker because I wondered what it looked like inside. It made me feel interested in what it looked like inside. There is a memory game on page 1 and 32 that I think is fun because it is challenging.

I recommend this book to people that like mysteries because all the Young Cam Jansen series books are mysteries. Cam always solves the mystery. I think kids ages 7 to 10 and in grades 2nd through 5th should read this book. You should read this book if you like reading curious and interesting mysteries. When I was reading, I felt like I was on a cliffhanger!
