Nancy Drew and the Clue Crew Treasure Trouble

Nancy Drew and the Clue Crew like to solve mysteries. In Nancy Drew and the Clue Crew Treasure Trouble, Nancy and her friends, Bess Marvin and George Fayne are going on a trip to Barnacle Beach with Mrs. Fayne, George’s mother, because Mrs. Fayne is working at a birthday party. When they got to Barnacle Beach, Bess, George, and Nancy heard about this monster, Lonny the Lake Lizard. They were helping set up for the party. The party was a pirate party for Mrs. Teasdale’s grandchildren, Ivy and Damien. Because it was a pirate party, they had to have a treasure hunt. Nancy, Bess, and George hid the treasure chest. The time of the party came. When the Clue Crew went to the spot where they hid the chest, it was gone! The Clue Crew thinks that it’s Lonny. But, it was…you have to read the book to find out!

I like this book because it is like one of my favorite series, Cam Jansen. Both main characters like to solve mysteries. For example, Nancy is trying to find a missing treasure chest and in the book that I read with Cam Jansen, Cam is trying to find missing dinosaur bones. I like Nancy because she comes up with good ideas. For example, one of her good ideas was that she said, “All I know is that we have two good suspects: Poppy and Casey!” I like the way the Clue Crew keeps looking for clues and doesn’t give up. First, they thought Poppy took the treasure chest, and then they thought Casey took it. The Clue Crew kept on looking around trying to find out who stole the treasure chest until they solved the mystery.

I recommend Nancy Drew and the Clue Crew Treasure Trouble to kids who like to find things that are hidden. I think kids who are in 3rd and 4th grade should read this book because it is a “just right” book for them and the characters are the same age. I think kids who like mysteries will also enjoy the way the Clue Crew goes all around town looking for clues and keeps looking until they solve the mystery.
