First, Helen Keller's father fought in the Civil War for the south. After the war, he went back home. The first girl in the family, baby Helen lit up a room. Helen was the apple of her mother's eye. Next, Helen learned how to walk at an early age. Soon Helen was racing around the house. Helen became really sick. The Doctor thought that she was going to die.
I think Helen Keller is a wonderful book for three reasons. One reason this book is wonderful is because Helen Keller learns how to talk in sign language. First, Annie Sullivan taught Helen Keller how to talk in sign language. Another reason this book is wonderful is because you get to learn all about Helen Keller's life. Finally, you get to learn her from her as a baby to adult. Those are a few reasons I like the book Helen Keller.
I recommend this book to people who like reading about other people's childhood because it talks about Hellen Keller’s childhood.
