A to Z Mysteries, The Panda Puzzle

In The Panda Puzzle by Ron Roy, Dink, Josh, and Ruth Rose, the main characters, have to find out who stole the baby panda and where he is. In the beginning Dink, Josh, Ruth Rose, and Nate, Ruth Rose's little brother, go to panda park to see the newborn baby panda. But when they went to see the baby panda it is gone! It just vanished. They need some clues to see who stole the panda. In the middle, Dink interviews the people who work at the panda park. Irene the lady that works at the petting zoo got interviewed first. They think she did it because she has huge hands. Then they interviewed Phil, the assistant of Irene. In the end Dink, Josh, and Ruth Rose felt something under a mat. It turned out to be coal chute. They got in the coal chute and got stuck in there. But they got out after a while thanks to Dink. Will Dink, Josh and Ruth Rose find out who stole the panda and where the panda is? Read this book to find out.

The Panda Puzzle is a wonderful book! I like how you have to read to the very last page to find out what happens. The town is building a new park for a panda and her baby. But soon the baby panda is panda-napped for a million dollar ransom. Dink has a connection to me because he has pride and leadership in everything he does. He's the one who usually makes the plans and he is the first one to say "hooray!" when they accomplish something. I like how they gave detail about every character in the book because it helps me to picture what they're like and how they feel.

I would recommend this book to students in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade. These readers will find out how to work with others when they read this book. Also, the book teaches readers to never give up. Lastly, the story teaches readers to use their imagination.
