Lord of the Rings the Return of the

“How do you go on when in your heart you begin to understand there is no going back?” This is the third part of The Lord of the Rings, and follows the broken Fellowship of the Ring. Sam and Frodo go to Mordor on their quest to destroy the Ring of Fire in the Cracks of Doom. Meanwhile, Aragorn, Gimli, Legolas and Gandalf aid the Rohirrum in the battle of the Hornburg. Breaking up the besties, Mary and Pippen head their separate ways. Then an ENORMOUS war ended with the return of the king, the Gray Havens and an emotional breaking of the Fellowship for good.

When I read this book I was nervous about what would happen next, sad, thrilled and surprised. My favorite part is at the end, the return of the king. It involved my favorite character, Aragorn. He has so many great traits. He is kind, brave, a wonderful fighter and he always puts his friends before himself. I had a connection with this book, because it is like the Silmarillion because it is the history of Lord of the Rings.

I recommend this book to 13 year olds and up. Also, I would recommend this book to people who like adventure, romance, fighting and tragedy. I really think you should read this book, so please do!
