The Hobbit

In the beginning of The Hobbit a lot of dwarves go into Bilbo’s house and ask him to get their castle back from a dragon. They go on a long adventure to their castle. While bumping into a lot of things they would not like to bump into like goblins they had to hide in a cave near the castle, in the middle of a lonely mountain. Then a human named Bard shot the dragon with his bow and arrow. Nobody ever saw the dragon again and ten the men, the elves and the dwarves work together to fight goblins and spiders and other bad things. The leader of the dwarves, Oakenshield died in that fight. But you’ll have to read the book to find out what happens after that.

My favorite part was when Bilbo Baggins sang a song to get the giant spiders to follow him so they will not eat the dwarves. The reason that was my favorite part is because you didn’t know if the spiders might eat Bilbo! I think the Hobbit is similar to the Lord of the Rings because it’s like the same book except instead of Bilbo its Frodo, Bilbo’s son he adopted. But they still have the same characters. This book makes me think, “What if this was actually happening?”

I would recommend this book to people who like fantasies. In this story the dwarves fight goblins. The main character is Bilbo Baggins. In the beginning he is fearful but he gets less and less fearful as the adventure goes on. In the end I would give this book 5 out of 5 stars. The setting is middle earth near the year 1490.
