Do you have a buddy that’s a dog? Well this story tells you about a boy named Henry and a dog named Mudge. They do so much together such as taking walks and playing. Annie, however, would love to have a pet just like Mudge. She has so many choices to pick from. Read the book to find out which pet she picks. You will be surprised!
I thought the story was great because the pictures were very colorful and they helped to tell the story. I also liked how Henry was very close to his pet Mudge and the silly things they did. When Henry went bike riding or threw a frisbee, there was Mudge running beside him or catching the frisbee in his mouth. I can really connect to this story because I also have a dog named Candy that I like to do many things with.
I would recommend this book to the other kids because the characters are funny. The story wasn’t too long to read or difficult to understand. I think children in second grade should read this because they would like the story and the pictures.
