Surf's Up, Geronimo

Geronimo’s obnoxious cousin Trap gives Geronimo a surprise vacation to a beach. Of course Geronimo doesn’t want to go because he thinks his cousin is tricking him. Trap always plays tricks on Geronimo and he is mean to him. Geronimo doesn’t trust Trap and doesn’t want to go on the vacation. Does Geronimo decide to go? Read the book to find out.

I like how the fonts describe the words in the story. Some words are written in different colors, shapes and sizes depending on what it means. This really helps people that don’t know a word. You look at how the word was written and it gives you a hint about what the word means.

I liked this book because it's a mystery and it has a lot of clues to make you guess if Geronimo will go on vacation. My favorite part in the story was when it showed all the different stages Geronimo was becoming sick like when he became air sick. This book reminded me of the time when my parents tried to trick me about not going away on our family vacation to Albania.

I think this book is great. I recommend this book to third and fourth graders who like reading mysteries.
