Flying Solo is about a boy who dies and a girl who blames his death on herself. One day, Mr. Fab, the teacher, was sick and there was a sub that was supposed to come to his class. But the sub didn't. How could this happen? Will they tell a teacher, or go the whole day by themselves? Or worse, will they get caught?
My favorite character is Christopher. He is loud and noisy like me. My favorite part was when the boys played the computer instead of doing their work. This is one of my favorite books because I wish my teacher wouldn't show up one day. Most of the things in the book could happen in real life. Ralph Fletcher did a good job because it made you wonder what would happen next.
I think people between the ages of 10-18 should read this book. People will like this book because it is funny, exciting, and it makes you wonder what is going to happen next.
