The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane

In the book, The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane, the main character was a china doll named Edward. He lived with a girl named Abilene. Edward was very selfish. Abilene went on a boat, and then two boys started throwing Edward back and forth. Then he was thrown out of the boat!

The big idea in this book is that you shouldn’t be selfish toward the ones you love. I learned that being selfish can get you into a lot of trouble. I felt sad when Edward fell off the boat. The illustrations were realistic. Edward changed from being selfish to being loving and caring by the end of the book. This is a fantasy book.

I recommend this book for third graders and higher. If I were you, the thing that would interest me the most is the part about Edward falling off of the boat. I think this is a good book for kids that love fantasy books and rabbits.
