Titanic

On March 31, 1909, the Titanic sailed on her first voyage. She was headed to America. In the early hours of April 15, 1912, the Titanic hit an iceberg.
1,523 people died. Some women and children went on lifeboats, but men were not allowed. Later, the Titanic split in half and half sunk to the bottom. Hours later, the other half sank.
When the ship sank, there were lots of people in the cold and chilly Atlantic Ocean. Some people could not swim so they died from drowning. Some died from the cold waters. Others climbed on top of the furniture, but eventually they sunk, also. Many people died, and only a few survived.
I would like to changed the story so that no one dies. 1,523 people died, and no one should have to die that way. My favorite part of the story is when the ship first set sail. All the people were very happy and cheered. My favorite character was Captain Smith, because he was always at work. My least favorite character was the person who did not ring the siren on the ship.
This story relates to my life because when the ship was sinking everyone was running around and yelling. I like to run and yell, too. I think others should read this book because you can learn a lot about what happened on that sad night. To learn more, read The Titanic.
