How To Eat Fried Worms

If you were put up to a bet for $50.00 to eat 15 worms in 15 days, would you do it? Billy Forrester would! Alan and Joe make a cruel bet that Billy absolutely couldn't do it. Tom and Billy set off to prove him wrong by taking the bet and eating worms!

My favorite part was when Alan, Joe, Billy and Tom made the bet and argue non- stop about being so tough. I also loved the black and white Illustrations because they showed the chain of events. I felt like I knew each of the characters. They had very unique personalities. Billy is an outgoing person who is not afraid to show how he feels. When the bet is created he lies and tries to cheat and not eat worms.

I would recommend this book to fifth and sixth graders because you might find some of the language objectionable. This book would interest any reader because there is a little bit of everything thrown in it. The author is very funny and adds humor to his writing. For example, Billy plans on buying a mini bike with the $50 if he wins the bet and it is so funny what he plans to do with the mini bike. They also made the book into a movie. My cousin loved it!
