The main characters of this book are Tom, Drake, Marcus, Tom Gates parents and the teacher.Tom Gates loves to doodle and always gets in trouble for doodling and reading comics in class. Marcus and Tom are enemies; they hate each other. Marcus always tattletales on Tom. Tom and Drake are best friends, they are even neighbors.
I liked this book because it is really clever and creative. One example is when Tom gets Marcus in trouble for cheating on their star chart. It also teaches you a lot. It even teaches you how to make paper airplanes and more. One day it taught me how to make a happy birthday card.
I recommend this book for kids because it is so funny. One time Tom was reading comics in the bathroom and someone walked in on him! I gave it to my brother and he loved it so much he gave me a big hug. You can do the same thing and you will be so happy reading it.
