Popularity papers the Rocky Road Trip of Lydia Goldblatt and Julie Grahm-chang

Do you like spending time with your friends? Well so does Lydia Goldbatt and Julie Grahm-chang. They are the stars of The Popularity Papers by Amy Ignatow.

To begin with, this story is about two best friends who go on a road trip in the summer together. They go all around the U.S.A. seeing cool sights and CRAZY family. The best part of the trip is when they go camping. Insane things happen and funny things, too! One morning when they are camping, they wake up and there is a bear outside so someone is holding their hand over their mouths so they don't make any noise. What a crazy way to wake up!

In addition, I like this book because it is very humorous. One of the funniest things is when Lydia dyes her hair blue! I remember a time when I was little, I was mad at my mom so I cut some of my hair off. I grabbed the scissors and “snip” I cut my hair. My mom got really mad at me, just like what happened to Lydia! I also liked when the girls ate burritos, and then after they were finished they kept talking about how they "missed" the burritos. It was so funny because they were acting like the burritos were people that they couldn't see anymore! Finally, this was a great book because it's written like a journal. I liked this because it made it easy to read and seemed very real.

In conclusion, I think this book is perfect for girls ages 7-14. Well what are you waiting for, go and get it at your public library!
