No Talking!

In the book No Talking a boy named Dave Packer and he comes up with an idea that changes the entire fifth grade, and the school! One day Dave comes up with an idea of a no talking challenge boys against girls. The teachers get very angry because of their no talking challenge so they they tell the kids to talk again. The kids disobey the teacher’s orders, but soon all the teachers get used to except Mrs. Hiatt the principal and that is where things get juicy! Well I guess you will have to read it to find out what happens to Dave in the end of the book.

In my opinion No Talking is an excellent book. First, it gives great detailed examples in the book. It says Dave shouldn’t have said something really important. Next, the illustrations are fantastic! I especially love the illustration on the front cover. Finally, it has a great problem because all the kids are getting on the teachers nerves. To wrap it up I recommend this book to 3, 4 and 5 graders if you like realistic fiction.

Do you like books that are realistic fiction? If you do, than would like Andrew Clements’ books, especially the book No Talking. I would rate this book 5 stars because it contains great details and pictures, and so much more. This book reminds me of my life. When I read Andrew Clements’ books, it gives me good ideas. If you like realistic fiction and like reading great books, then you should read Andrew Clements’ book No Talking and all of his other books.
