Do you like adventure books? If so, then you should try reading Escaping the Giant Wave by Peg Kehret. You might not want to put the book down; on the other hand it can be boring in certain spots. I liked the book because I like reading about different kinds of storms.

Escaping the Giant Wave is about a 13-year old boy named Kyle. He spends his vacation on the Oregon Coast. Suddenly, while he?s watching his baby sister Bee-bee his vacation becomes a nightmare. It becomes a nightmare because Bee-bee forgets that there was a sign that said, "there was an earthquake coming" and, she thinks she's going to get stuck in the earthquake. This part of the story really kept me on the edge of my seat while I read. It was very suspenseful waiting to find out what would happen when the earthquake hit.

I thought the book was just okay because I like adventure books. It could have been more exciting in certain parts. Also, I enjoy learning things about Tsunamis and earthquakes and that is exactly what the main character in this book experiences.

I would recommend this book because you learn about Tsunamis. It is an excellent adventure book to read. So, you should read it if you get the chance!!!!!
