This story takes place in the desert. Deputy Dan is the new sheriff of Gulch City. Deputy Dan always does what his boss says and takes it a little too literally. For example, his boss tells him to go answer the door and Deputy Dan talks to the door.
My favorite character is Deputy Dan because he does funny stuff. For example, he tries to disappear by saying words a magician says, like ?Poof!? I like the pictures because they are colorful and funny. My favorite picture is when Deputy Dan picks up his horse with a crane. It is hilarious!
If you read Amelia Bedelia books and you liked them, you will like this book.
