The Junkyard Dog

The book I am reading is called the Junkyard Dog. It is about a dog who lives in the junkyard and a girl who lives right next door who goes to the junkyard and finds the dog. The girl asks to keep the dog, but her mom said no because the dog was somebody else's. The girl still wants to keep the dog. Find out how Kate gets to keep the dog.

I like this book because it reminds me of when I first got my dog. We thought he belonged to someone else but he didn't. This book made me sad at first, but it made me happy at the end.

I recommend this to fourth grade and fifth grade because if you have a dog who you found in the junkyard and think it might belong to someone else, read this book Junkyard Dog. My favorite part was when Kate and the dog got along with each other because it made me happy. That is why you should read The Junkyard Dog. My favorite character was Kate and Joe when they have faith in themselves.
