Charlotte's Web

This story is about a pig named Wilbur that lived in a barn with other farm animals. Wilbur became very sad and scared when he found out he would be killed and eaten. As a result, Charlotte, a spider from the barn cellar decided to help her friend Wilbur. Charlotte decided to write creative things on her web about Wilbur, so that the owners would not kill him. Charlotte wrote many clever things about Wilbur and everyone thought it was a miracle and that Wilbur was a great pig. Charlotte dies at the end of the story, but she did save Wilbur's life.

My favorite part of the story was Charlotte the spider. She is my favorite because she taught me what friendship is all about. She saved her friend Wilbur from getting cooked. Charlotte was a true friend.

I think all students, especially second graders should read this story, since it is about friendship. That reminds me of the time when my friend helped me to solve a problem. It's also kind of funny too! Templeton, who was a rat in the story was a pretty funny and interesting character.
